A passion for helping people and personal finance led Lucy Shair to transition from a successful and varied career as a CPA into financial advisory work. Lucy is dedicated to putting her clients' interests first, with a fee-only and no-commission philosophy that makes her a natural fit for Action Point.

Having worked as an auditor and for a large university, Lucy has always been committed to the highest ethical standards and working for the greater good. She is driven by a desire to expand financial literacy and help her clients improve their lives by gaining control of their finances. She especially enjoys working with women and focusing on their specific needs. In addition, Lucy is trained as a neutral financial specialist for collaborative divorce cases through Collaborative Divorce Professionals of West Michigan.

Lucy graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in International Business and French and received a Masters in Accounting from University of Southern California. While employed at PwC, she worked on the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund under Special Master Kenneth Feinberg. Lucy is also actively involved in the East Grand Rapids schools and serves as Co-President for the Breton Downs Elementary PTO.

When not working, Lucy can usually be found spending time with her family, volunteering in or advocating for public schools, enjoying Michigan's natural beauty by foot or kayak, or doing yoga to help balance it all.

Life is about so much more than money. Lucy loves connecting with her clients to discover what makes them tick and working with them to help make their dreams a reality. Learn more about why she does this work here, visit her independent website, or contact her today to get started.
