I’m a Partner & Senior Financial Advisor at Fiduciary Financial Advisors.

I chose this business to help people and to make a difference in the world. Initially, that was just a hope and a wish. After a lot of hard work, this is a reality today.

My clients are interested in reaching financial independence before retirement age, they desire a close relationship and partnership with their financial advisor, and they have complicated financial lives but strive to make them simple.

Many of my clients have learned how to leverage their net worth to support the lifestyle that they choose.  True financial independence is such a rare and valuable thing.

My work focuses around:

  • Those going through, or who have gone through a Divorce. I am a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA), which is a leading divorce planning certification.

  • Widows - many of my clients have gone through the process of losing loved ones. Providing valuable guidance during difficult times is a process that I have come to cherish.

  • I work with Business Owners & Executives on everything from sale guidance, exit planning, and succession to concentrated stock, corporate cash, retirement planning, and financial life management.

  • Sudden Money situations resulting from an inheritance, legal settlements, or business sales.

Here are some publications to which I have contributed:

A bit more about me:

I attended Miami University (OH) where I studied Finance. I became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in 2010 and have also earned the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) designation.

I truly believe in giving back to our community so I serve on the board of the East Grand Rapids School Foundation and the Widowed Persons Service.

In my free time, you’ll find me with my wife, Jenny, and my kids, Owen and Natalie, or walking my dogs, Penny & Beau. I am a big fan of running, old-school Hip Hop, craft beer, and the outdoors.

As I have “matured” over the years, pursuing a healthy lifestyle has become a particular interest of mine.  You know the saying “your health is your greatest wealth.”

As a Fiduciary Financial Advisor, I have sworn the 'Fiduciary Oath' which holds these five principles:

  • I will not mislead you, and I will provide conspicuous, full, and fair disclosure of all important facts

  • I will fully disclose, and fairly manage, in your favor, any unavoidable conflicts
